HARMONIA MUSIC CLUB OF LEBANON
First named the Harmonia Circle, the group was organized in 1890 by Mrs. Lee L. Grumbine. Since 1897 Harmonia has been affiliated with the Pennsylvania Federation of Music Clubs. In 1905 it became a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and in 1956 a part of the Past Presidents Assembly.

Purpose: The Club was organized to stimulate and develop live music in the community and to offer opportunity, recognition and awards for talented young musicians. Since 1975 scholarships, based upon audition, have been awared to Lebanon County seniors who plan to major in music at an institution of higher learning.

Events: Harmonia presents a variety of concerts from September through May that are open to the public and usually held in St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Lebanon, PA.
    Harmonia Young Performers, a group of youth interested in live performance experiences, is sponsored by the Senior Club.

Programs:
Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Alumni and Friends of the Tamburitzan Dancers. This troupe of four dancers and four musicians will perform ethnic dances of Eastern Europe in authentic costumes. Folk instruments will be played by the musicians. Program at the Allen Theater, 36 E. Main Street, Annville, PA 17003. Tickets: Adults $20.00, Students $10.00. Money to benefit Harmonia's Scholarship Fund.

Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. American Music Organ Concert featuring organist, Ross Ellison, Professor at Millersville University. Program held in the home of Harmonia members, Peter Hewitt and Walter McAnney, 1 Princeton Avenue, Mt. Gretna, PA 17064. Donations will be accepted for Harmonia's Scholarship Fund.

Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. A Holiday Concert will be performed by the Hershey Handbell Ensemble, an area auditioned handbell choir. The program will be held in the Nave of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 6th & Chestnut Streets, Lebanon, PA. Donations will be accepted for Harmonia's Scholarship Fund.
